This moms rendition of Leonard Cohen’s classic song “Hallelujah” has struck a chord with parents everywhere.

Shannon Abbott originally wrote and performed the song at a local talent show in Payson, Utah. But her real moment to shine came when she decided to share this masterpiece on YouTube, where it has been gaining popularity with thousands of views.

“When nap time comes I’ll sing ‘oh hallelujah.” she sings alongside her 5-month-old son Adam.

“It’s 3 a.m. and you’re wide awake. Baby, go to sleep for heaven’s sake. Mama’s gonna be a zombie in the morning,” she continues in the second verse.

“It starts with diapers, spit and no sleep. He pulled my hair, I scraped my knee” and “It’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it.”

This video of a moms rendition of the classic song ‘Hallelujah’ is a wonderful tribute of moms everywhere!
