Lydia Rosebush shared posted a story on Facebook about her 5-year-old son, Jax, who wanted to get the same haircut as his best pal, Reddy, all in hopes to fool their teacher. They hoped he wouldn’t be able to tell them apart.

The post has gone viral for an obvious reason: Jax is white. Reddy is black.
Rosebull’s post wrote: “This morning Jax and I were discussing his wild hair. I told him that he needed a haircut this weekend. He said that he wanted his head shaved really short so he could look like his friend Reddy. He said he couldn’t wait to go to school on Monday with his hair like Reddy’s so that his teacher wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. He thought it would be so hilarious to confuse his teacher with the same haircut.”
Jax doesn’t realize his friend is black, nor does he realize he is white. This is adorable living proof that prejudice is something that is taught. The only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their style of hair.
Mom agreed to Jax’s request and gave him the haircut. Here is what they look like now:
